Exercise "Hide and Seek"
Short description
Children sit facing the teacher. He suggests playing hide and seek: “But it’s not us who will hide, but our tongues. Look how my tongue hides, you won’t even see it. (Shows.) And now, children, open your mouth so that we can see the tongue at the lower teeth... Now hide your tongue far, far away, and do not close your mouth. Valya hid her tongue well. Go, Valya, show how you can hide your tongue.”
The exercise should be checked in subgroups so that the speech therapist or teacher can see each child.
Methodical instructions. Children should sit quietly and keep their heads straight. The teacher makes sure that they do not close their mouth when they move their tongue back. The tip of the tongue is always at the bottom. If someone does not succeed in this exercise, use a wooden spatula or the child’s own clean finger to push the tongue back, lightly pressing on the tip of the tongue.
